The World Jiu-Jitsu Championship has begun in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand. According to the press service of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Ukrainian athletes have already won the first medals at the 2025 World Championship.

Ukraine’s first medals at the 2025 World Jiu-Jitsu Championship

Bogdan Mochulskyi won the gold medal in the 62 kg weight category (fighting) and for the fourth time in his career became world champion.

Silver medals were won by Daria Honcharenko (52 kg, fighting) and Oleksandra Yakovenko (52 kg, no-gi).

The World Championship in Bangkok will run until November 7.
