Ukrainian Athletes Shine with 13 Medals at European Modern Pentathlon Championship

The European Modern Pentathlon Championship has started in the Turkish city of Alanya, featuring biathlon/triathlon and the laser-run.

According to the organizers, on the first day of the competition Ukrainian athletes won 13 medals in the laser-run: 6 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze.

Ukrainian Medals in Laser-Run

Gold – Kyrylo Potashko (U17, boys, individual title); Oleh Rybak (U19, boys, individual title); Milana Lurtsi-Ogli (junior women, individual title); Vladyslav Chekan (men, individual title); Kyrylo Pidopryhora and Kyrylo Potashko (U17, men’s relay); Valeria Permykina and Milana Lurtsi-Ogli (adults, women’s relay).

Silver – Eva Chaika (U17, girls, individual title); Kyrylo Pidopryhora (U17, boys, individual title); Maksym Kovalchuk (U19, boys, individual title); Danylo Sich (junior, individual title).

Bronze – Oleksandr Chenyshev (U19, boys, individual title); Anastasia Chizhova (women, individual title); Vladyslav Chekan and Valeria Permykina (adults, mixed relay).

The continental championship will run until November 9.
