In the first nine months of 2025, Ukraine’s banks recorded a substantial rise in households’ savings: the amount of deposits by individuals increased by about UAH 123.2 billion and, as of October 1, reached UAH 1.515 trillion.
The information is confirmed by data from the Deposit Guarantee Fund for Individuals and materials released by Ukrinform.
As of October 1, 2025, the total amount of deposits by individuals (including individual entrepreneurs) in Ukrainian banks stood at UAH 1,515.4 billion, which is UAH 23.4 billion higher than the previous month’s figure

In the first nine months of 2025, the overall growth in household deposits amounted to 123.2 billion UAH, one of the largest in the past three years for comparable periods.
As of that date, the share of individual entrepreneurs among depositors was 3.1%, and their share in the total deposits was 11.6%. The total amount of individual entrepreneurs’ deposits reached 176.1 billion UAH.
According to the Fund, from January–September 2025, compensation payments to depositors of banks exiting the market totaled 239.8 million UAH. In particular, in September, 1.6 million UAH was reimbursed.
