As Ukrinform reports, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine announced this.
Operators of the assault drone platoon of the border detachment “Steel Border” used FPV drones and destroyed on Russian soil two UAZ SGRs, known as “bread loaves,” along with a tank during tasks near the state border.
Operational data indicate that drones helped border guards detect and neutralize enemy equipment across various stretches along the border.
Northern Slobozhansky Direction
Near the border in the Russian Federation, FPV drones recorded two UAZ SGR vehicles that the enemy used for logistical needs. They were destroyed during the border guards’ operation.
Kursk Direction
In the Kursk direction, UAV operators managed to destroy a well-camouflaged enemy tank. There are also reports of damage to a transporter-loading vehicle for use with missile-guided systems, including for the Iskander, in the Kursk region.
It should be noted that the use of unmanned systems continues to enhance the effectiveness of border guards’ actions in border zones, enabling the rapid detection and destruction of enemy equipment with minimal risk to personnel.
