Ukrainian Forces Hit Fuel Storage Sites in Occupied Crimea

The Defence Forces of Ukraine delivered pinpoint strikes on three fuel and lubricants facilities in the temporarily occupied Crimea. The General Staff of the Ukrainian Defence Forces reported this on November 6, 2025.

“With the aim of reducing the opponent’s logistical capabilities on the territory of the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea, three fuel and lubricants facilities were struck. Thus, at the oil depot in the settlement of Hvardiiske, a successful hit was recorded on a reservoir and fuel tanks on a drain-and-filling ramp. At two fuel bases in Simferopol, reservoir parks were hit. Fires were recorded in fuel reservoirs”

Overview of Operational Strikes and Consequences

During the night of November 5, 2025, units of the Defence Forces of Ukraine also damaged a base for storage, maintenance, and launch of Shahed-type drones in the temporarily occupied Donetsk – on the site of the former airport. In addition, the Defence Forces of Ukraine struck the Volgograd oil refinery in Russia.

During the night of November 6, in the occupied Crimea there was a series of explosions: after drones flew over the Simferopol district, a large fire broke out at the Crimean oil-trading enterprise “Krymnaftozbyt.” The Russian Ministry of Defense reported the downing of seven drones over the peninsula.

Such events indicate increasing operational activity in the region and the sabotage of fuel and energy infrastructure in the occupied territories.
