Ukrainian Forces Strike Stavrolen Plant in Russia to Weaken Military Production

The General Staff noted that numerous explosions and a fire were recorded in the area around the plant.

As reported by General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook

The Ukrainian forces struck the infrastructure of Stavrolen LLC in Budyonnovsk, Stavropol Krai, Russia, with the aim of reducing the capacity to produce petrochemical products for the needs of Russia’s military-industrial complex, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.

The plant has a full hydrocarbon feedstock processing cycle and produces polymers for the manufacture of composite materials, housing parts, seals, and insulation for various types of equipment of the Russian army. Among other things, it also produces components for unmanned aerial vehicles

Earlier, reports about the attack in Budyonnovsk came from both Russian and Ukrainian Telegram channels. The governor of Stavropol Krai, Russia, Vladimir Vladimirov, said that the drone attack was allegedly repelled by air defense forces, and the debris caused a fire in the city’s industrial zone. Similar reports also appeared last month. Since Russia’s full-scale invasion began, various targets on its territory have been subjected to air strikes.

In 2024 and 2025, oil refineries were attacked most frequently. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed these actions, emphasizing that the Ukrainian defense forces are systematically working to reduce the combat potential of Russian occupation troops and are forcing the Russian Federation to stop its armed aggression against Ukraine.

Context and consequences

This development demonstrates a pattern of strikes against Russia’s key infrastructure from Ukraine and shows the Ukrainian forces’ ability to reduce the aggressor’s military potential.
