President Zelensky tried to remove the head of the Constitutional Court Oleksandr Tupytsky from his position.

‘Bukvy’ continues the track of ‘Ze violations’.

Signing the decree on Tupytsky’s removal from office, Volodymyr Zelensky violated the provisions of Articles 6, 8, 19, 106, 147, 149, 149, 153 of the Constitution of Ukraine, as well as Articles 344, 376 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The procedure for the organization and activity of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine is determined by the Constitution of Ukraine and the law.Article 149 of the Constitution provides a list of grounds for termination of a CCU judge and a list of grounds for dismissal.

This list is exclusive and cannot be amended by any law or decree without amending the Constitution itself.
