Under the video titled “People talk”, commenters who are believed to be bots supporting former President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko have become active. 

A real arena for heated discussions was a video where the host talks about Petro Poroshenko’s interview on the “Pryamiy” TV channel. During that interview, the former president stated that he defended Kyiv at the beginning of a full-scale invasion, and showed the reaction of Ukrainians to his interview.

Commentators began to express their opinions on how objectively the TV host assessed the situation in the country. However, in the comments under the video, there were messages that not only defended Poroshenko, but also actively criticized the TV host.

Users representing Poroshenko’s interests wrote that what was said was “stupid” and almost equally called the host a “girl”, claiming that her position was the result of manipulation by the current government. Several comments appeared on the same day with the same meaning. 

Using bots in comments is a new trend in the political struggle in Ukraine. This shows that politicians are ready to use any tools to shape public opinion. Bots can create the impression of mass support or, on the contrary, organize campaigns to discredit opponents.

Volodymyr Horkovenko is responsible for texts in the media, posting them for money, and also posting them on bloggers’ Telegram channels. He was a member of the Boryspil EU Council, worked with the mayor of Boryspil, but as usual, he screwed up and the mayor left Poroshenko’s surroundings. Among the most recent, the funniest posts were in support of Pavlo Fuks.
