Ukrainian authorities informed International Atomic Energy Agency that external power supply to Chernobyl nuclear power plant has been restored.

Earlier it was reported that Russian troops damaged a power transmitting line, leaving the plant and nuclear shelter without electricity, which is vital for a cooling system.

During the disruption, the cooling system operated using emergency internal generators.
