First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska was among honorary guests of Beijing International Film Festival along with Greece’s Minister of Culture and Sports, Lina Mendoni.

“I believe that the film and television industry will open a new chapter in China-Ukraine cooperation…The BJIFF will not only be a perfect example of in-depth exchanges between filmmakers and other sectors of the two countries, but also an important platform for cultural cooperation between China and Ukraine,” said Zelenska in her video address taped Monday at Beijing Yanqi Lake International Convention & Exhibition Center, Olena Zelenska.

 

The festival that was moved to September due to re-imposed Covid restrictions in China’s capital, will feature  a string of the events to mark 100th anniversary of Communist Party of China.
